I generally like to read books that are an easy read, without undue angst, and entertaining. This book meets all of those criteria. If you are looking for a deep and meaningful story, this is not the book for you. If you like light romance and stories about fae, then I recommend it for you. For those that are looking for more of an innocent romantic tale, there are some steamy scenes in the book, but they don't take it over and they aren't over the top.

To Wed the Fae Prince V Vervain 9781492702221 Books Reviews

Well colour me surprised when Goodreads has users listing this as a Young Adult novel. Cause I wouldn't really define it as that. There is definitely some sexual content in here. A lot. But, there is some young love too, so, naturally I was hooked. So I did really like the characters and the story line. Basically for her parents to conceive they needed the help of the Fae and in return she would wed a fae prince. Pretty cool. I sort of had a feeling I was getting into something along the lines of the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. Then things got a little...heated. Anyhow I still really liked the characters and the story line. But, to say that this book wasn't a little confusing would be a lie. In the fae world time passes differently for humans and so for Etta months go by when she thinks its only days. So when Farron goes from what seems to be hating Etta to being a nice guy it became pretty confusing. And, sadly things were not properly explained. Which made it even more confusing. Other than that I really enjoyed the book. I just felt like some of my questions went un-answered, especially the ones about the dramatic changes in some of the characters.
Good
Etta--she seems nieve, but overall a pretty cool character.
Farron--definitely grows on you
Bad
Some confusion with the story lines.
Overall (Writing style, story line, and general)
Overall the novel was a bit confusing in the beginning and I felt like it could have been made into a longer novel to simply explain those circumstances. Overall though, I still rather enjoyed the novella and really did like the characters and their budding romance. I liked learning about the world of the fae, but felt that it just could have been made into a full length novel to really get a good feel for the novel.
loved it and i look forward to reading more by her. This book I read in two days I could put it down.

Before I say anything about the book please understand that I do not like to read pornography. This means for me that I do not like to read anything beyond a good make-out session in the bedroom. If you don't mind those things or you even like them, you may enjoy this book. I still think that the plot was lacking and the characters were completely shallow.

I gave this book a try because the synopsis grabbed me. I think that fae romance has not been explored enough and I'm always looking for a fresh outlook on it. This story is about a young girl who is told that her parents bargained with the fae to be able to conceive and the price was that their daughter would be given as a wife to a fae prince. Wonderful premise!

The first half of the book is this young woman complaining about her situation in life. She spends so much time complaining that she lives 6 years in the fae realm and totally misses it. Now, it felt like a month to her, but her hair grows to the ground, the seasons change, etc and she is just oblivious; I could not relate to this whiny child at all. As I was reading I kept trying to understand how the fae prince could possibly be in love with someone so immature. After they are married somehow both of them decide that they love each other and hit the sack. It is just that fast. I was blind-sided by the author; there was absolutely no relationship building before this happened. This book continues in this way until the end where again the author had great villain potential through the prince's manipulative, lying, brother and it fell flat.

Overall I returned the book and I wouldn't read it again. I hate being negative, but there it is.

Hope this helps you decide if you want to read it.
